Our decor is quirky, designed as much to entertain as it is to promote a feeling of ease, while our service is slick and professional.

Enjoy a cold beer from our eclectic list, or a fine sherry to start the evening. We have one of the best beer lists in town.

A real find

Wow, what a find! Passing quickly thru Wellington and looking for dinner found Ortega on TripAdvisor. They fitted us in early (booking may be advisable on a Friday).

Excellent food. Fish and oysters were great, crepes were to die for. Lively atmosphere with young servers going like crazy but always attentive, friendly and helpful (even to old stagers like us!). Not cheap but well worth the price.  Thoroughly recommended.

Quality Ingredients

I have eaten here twice and can honestly say that they have delivered two of the best three meals I have eaten in New Zealand. Obviously they have a very high focus on sourcing quality ingredients, and the chefs really know how to turn these into absolute masterpieces.
